You can't fix what you can't see
Salesforce orgs drift. Every campaign, integration, and well-meaning change adds a layer, and after a few years no one can say for certain what the platform is doing or why. The Org Assessment gives you that picture back, in plain language, before you spend another dollar on the platform, another grant on a rebuild, or another late night wondering why a report is wrong.
What you get
A full read of your org, in five areas
I look at everything that shapes how your Salesforce actually behaves, then tell you what is working, what is not, and what to do about it, in the order I would do it.
Data model
How your objects, fields, and relationships are built, and where they have drifted from the standard in ways that cost you on every report.
Security & access
Health Check posture, permission sets and profiles, sharing, and who can still reach your donor and program data, including accounts that should have been closed.
Automation
Every flow, trigger, and rule, and where too many of them share one save on the same record and make routine changes unpredictable.
Integrations
The connected apps and endpoints moving data in and out of your org, mapped so you know what depends on what when something breaks.
Configuration
The settings and standards that quietly shape day-to-day work, from record types to page layouts, benchmarked against what a healthy org looks like.
And you walk away with
- A prioritized roadmap that sequences the urgent, free fixes ahead of the larger projects, with honest effort estimates.
- A live walkthrough so the report is understood by your team, not just delivered to your inbox.
- The report itself, yours to keep whether or not we work together after. It often doubles as the discovery for whatever build it points to.
See the deliverable
This is what lands in your inbox
Not a slide deck and not a checklist. A written report, built from a read-only scan of your org, that a board member and an admin can both follow. Below are pages from a sample assessment.
A sample assessment for a fictional nonprofit, “Cottonwood Youth Foundation.” The organization and its numbers are illustrative; no real client data is shown. Every real assessment is built the same way, from a read-only scan of your own org.
How it works
Four steps, two to three weeks
Straightforward to start, and built to leave your team standing on its own at the end.
Discovery
I connect to your org with read-only access and scan its configuration, top to bottom. No donor records, contact details, or field contents are ever read.
Delivery
Two to three weeks later you get the written assessment: findings, a scorecard, and a prioritized roadmap, in language your whole team can follow.
Walkthrough
We go through it together on a call, so the report is understood, not just delivered. You ask questions; I point out what is urgent versus what can wait.
Handoff
The report is yours to keep and act on, with or without me. Most organizations use it as the discovery for whatever build it points to next.
Who it's for
Built for nonprofits carrying an org they didn't design
The assessment is made for mission-driven organizations, and it earns its keep fastest for the ones that:
- inherited a Salesforce org someone else built, and never got the map;
- are weighing the move from NPSP to Nonprofit Cloud and need to know what they are standing on first;
- run lean, with one admin, or none, holding the whole platform together;
- suspect they are paying, in money or in effort, for complexity they don't actually need.

Why it goes deeper
AI-native investigation, human judgment
I use AI throughout the investigation, which means I read more of your org, more carefully, than a manual review could in the same time. Every automation, every permission set, every integration point gets looked at, not sampled. What the machine cannot do is decide what matters for your mission, or say it to you straight. That part stays entirely human. The result is the thoroughness of a much larger engagement at the price of a focused one, and a scope for whatever comes next that is grounded in your real complexity instead of a guess.
What it costs
Fixed price, set before we start
It normally runs $3,600, and while I get this practice off the ground I'm offering it free to the first 7 nonprofits who book. You get a full read of your Salesforce setup and a prioritized roadmap, and the report is yours to keep whether or not we work together after.
The assessment often does double duty as the discovery for whatever build it points to, so for most organizations it is one step, not two. There is no hourly billing and no surprise line items. You pay one fixed price, agreed before any work begins.
If budget is tight. The quality of the work does not change with your budget. The structure can. For mission-driven organizations working with real constraints, I offer phased options and a free first call of up to an hour. The price above is what I hold to, and I'm glad to talk through a structure that fits what you can actually spend.
Questions
Frequently asked
The questions I hear most about the assessment. If yours isn't here, let's talk.
- What's included in a Salesforce Org Assessment?A full read of your data model, security and access, automation, integrations, and configuration, delivered as a written report with findings, a scorecard, a prioritized roadmap, and a live walkthrough. It covers what your setup is doing well and what is quietly costing you, with a clear plan for what comes next.
- How long does the assessment take?Two to three weeks from the time I have access to your org. The scan itself is fast; the time goes into interpreting what it shows and sequencing the roadmap so the urgent, free work comes first and the larger projects are scoped honestly.
- How much does it cost?It normally runs $3,600, fixed and agreed before any work begins. While I get this practice off the ground I'm offering it free to the first 7 nonprofits who book. There is no hourly billing and no surprise line items.
- Do we keep the report?Yes. The report is yours to keep whether or not we work together after. It is written to stand on its own, so your team can act on it independently or hand it to whoever does your build.
- What access do you need to our Salesforce org?Read-only access is enough. The assessment reads configuration metadata and aggregate counts, how the org is set up and what is installed, down to how many records exist by type and year. It does not read donor records, contact data, or field contents.
- What if we do not hire you afterward?That is a completely fine outcome, and the assessment is built for it. There is no obligation to do anything beyond it. You leave with a clear read on your platform and a roadmap you can execute yourself, with your admin, or with any partner you choose.
